3. How do I know if EBMAS is what I'm looking
for?
The best way to find out is to participate in an introductional

here to go to our demonstration registration page to make
your appointment.
4. Is it safe to practise
in EBMAS?
Our training programs provide the student with the essential
skills practising in a safe environment. In our partner exercises
the student learns how to stay in contact with the partner
while maintaining an absolute protection. Meaning, the student
doesn't act as a punching bag in order to strenghten his/her
body by the partner attacks. On the contrary, in EBMAS we
always train to use our limbs to defend ourselves and never
use the body as a shield.
5. How
quickly can I progress?
It is solely up to the individual how much progress he/she
makes. For a relatively quick progress a continuous commitment
is essential.
6. Can
I become an Instructor?
Yes, you can as a result of your progress from the advanced
programs you will get to introduced to our Instructor
education. We
encourage our advanced students to become instructors
themselves and join to our professional team of instructors.
7. How
many trainings can I participate in a month?
You can train all of the nights as many times as you wish.
To see our timetable please click here.
8. Are
there many women training? Does it work for women too?
We only have a few women training at this moment, however the
training programs are designed to help to make even a physically
weaker person to become very effective in the self defence.
Women are especially encouraged to take the challenge to
learn our programs as it is a proven fact that EBMAS works
highly effective comparing to most of the other martial arts.
Please check out the story of one of our female students about
what happened with her and why she decided to take up EBMAS.
Read here.
9. What
does it cost?
For our pricelist please click here.
10. How
effective is it for real world self-defence?
EBMAS Street defence is proven to be one of the most effective way
of self defence in the world. Students learn to use their
movements very efficiently. It is either the street or the
training room, the movements are the same. We train with
a very realistic approach to street situations without leaving
any doubts if it works. Students don't imitate techniques,
they learn to use to apply them. We train ourselves for self
defence in every meaning of the word and yes, it is realistic.
Please feel free to visit our training to experience it for
yourself. Please contact us to make an appointment for FREE
introductiory training.

11. Can kids do it too? Will
it work for them?
Yes, they can do it too with special kids program. At this
stage we don't have a current school for children, however
in the near future we'll introduce the EBMAS kids programs
too. If you have any queries about the forthcoming children
programs, please feel free to contact us.
12. Do
you have competitions?
We generally have no competitions as part of the system.
However, there are EBMAS students world wide trying theirselves out
in competitions.
13. How long are the lessons?
A lesson is 1,5 hours long.
14. How long before I'm confident
to use it within a real situation?
It depends on your level, but from a 5th Student level you
will definitely have enough confidence to use it. It is about
1,5 - 2 years. But of course depending on the situation you
will learn effective self defence skill from the start in
the first 3 months of your 1st student level.

Currently we train at two locations, in the suburbs of Bassendean

You don't need to have an initial fitness in order to start
the clasess. Our programs are designed to give you the
fitness required to be able to do the exercises. As you
go along in the programs the more you progress in your
level the better fitness you'll have.
17. What's the best age to
do it?
There are no things like "best age" for learning EBMAS.
We have a grading system to ensure the students get the
right programs to their level of ability. Some of our "older"
students reckon the training makes them feel a lot younger.
18. How many in a class?
We make sure to keep the numbers small in order to provide
the quality in teaching. Therefore we usually have no more
than 10 - 20 people in a class. If the numbers are bigger
we have more than one instructor to teach in a class.
19. I've
done martial arts before, will that help my progress?
It can definitely help if you've done some martial arts before
at least to see the differences between EBMAS and your previous
style.
20. What
if I've never done martial arts before?
Then you start your journey with EBMAS and we assure you, you'll
be in the right hands. You have nothing to worry about. Previous
martial arts experience is not a requirement at all to start
EBMAS.
21. I'm
not an aggressive person, will it work for me?
It sure will. However, as a matter of fact a real street scenario can be very
aggressive and violent. We make sure to prepare for such a situation with a realistic
